Privacy Policy

Rendez-vous may process name, username, email, encrypted password, birth date, profile photo, city, postal code, optional phone number, bio, preferences, favorites, invitations, messages, media and privacy settings.

The service also stores user-created events and information aggregated from providers: titles, dates, times, venues, categories, links, images, descriptions, sources and publication status.

This data is used to create accounts, display profiles, suggest activities, manage favorites, invitations, chats, notifications, media, personalized suggestions, postal-code proximity and moderation.

Postal code may be used to suggest nearby activities. Matching may rely on reference data such as GeoNames, used under the CC BY 4.0 license with attribution.

A Firebase token may be stored to send push notifications and update unread notification or message counters.

Images or media may be processed through storage services such as Cloudinary. Conversations may be stored through MongoDB, while main data may be stored in PostgreSQL.

Data is shared only when needed for the service, technical providers, security, moderation, legal obligations or with user consent.

Rendez-vous applies reasonable measures to protect data: encrypted passwords, authentication, access rights management and technical logging where relevant.

Data is kept as long as necessary to provide the service, meet applicable obligations, prevent abuse or preserve useful user history.

Users may request access, correction, deletion or certain restrictions on their data, depending on applicable laws and technical or legal constraints.

Birth date may be used to apply certain access, safety or content relevance rules based on the user's age.
